WBN meetings are relaxed and informal – we are a very supportive group where you can be yourself and ask for help.
At all our meetings there is an opportunity for all attendees to tell us about their business and what they do.
We have guest speakers to increase your business knowledge, break out rooms, discussion topics, business clinics.
At this session we will have a Guest speaker Yvonne Onomor from Elys IP.
Yvonne Onomor is an intellectual property (IP) solicitor and a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with over 20 years’ experience working on branding issues. Yvonne is the founder of Elys IP legal practice and advises individuals and small businesses in relation to protecting, defending and managing their trade marks, design rights and copyrights in the UK and globally.
Yvonne will be helping us to understand more about the importance of protecting our intellectual property and trademarks with her talk:
“What is a trade mark and how do I protect my business’s trade mark rights?”
Intellectual Property (IP) is all around you. You cannot see it or touch it but if you own a business you will likely own some IP. The presentation will look at one type of IP namely trade marks (brands), which over time could be your business’s most valuable asset. In particular, we will look at what is a trade mark? The procedural requirements for trade mark registration in the UK and what businesses should be doing to protect their trade mark rights.
We are looking forward to learning more about this topic and if its of interet to you then come along.
I hope you can join us?
