The Mill Business Centre is where it all began. Back in 2014 I opened the doors and started hosting in-person networking events for local women in business. At the time, I wanted to create a different kind of space — somewhere women could come together, be real about the ups and downs of running a business, and know they’d always be supported.

Over the years, The Mill became a hive of activity. Local businesses who had outgrown their own space used our meeting room, trainers delivered their courses here, and we welcomed everything from board meetings to collaborative workshops.

When the pandemic struck, all of that came to a halt. WBN shifted online and grew into the thriving national community it is today. But I always knew I wanted to bring back the face-to-face connection that started it all.

That’s why I’ve relaunched the space with a new name and renewed focus: The Women’s Business Hub. It’s still based at The Mill Business Centre, but now reflects who we are today — a physical home for women in business that complements our online network, giving you the best of both worlds.

A historic home for women in business

You’ll find us at The Mill Business Centre, Mill Lane, Fazeley, Tamworth, Staffs B78 3QD, on the banks of the Birmingham to Fazeley canal. Steeped in history, the building sits on the site of a 17th Century Cotton Mill and dates back to 1842. Today it offers four offices, a large meeting room, free parking, WiFi, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Events at the Hub

Our monthly in-person networking is back, taking place on the third Thursday of each month. And this is just the beginning — we’ll be hosting more workshops and events, and the Hub is also open for collaborations with others who want to run their own sessions.
